Dakota Dirksens
Louis R Conradi, Adventist proselytizer in Russian Mennonite immigrant communities. He came to Dakota Territory in November of 1881. His work among the German speaking immigrants in Brotherfield and Childstown townships, and in Hutchinson County's Milltown, resulted in three new SDA congregations. Conradi left Dakota during the summer of 1883. Many of his converts returned to their Mennonite Brethren congregations. Most Adventist immigrants migrated north, settling about 1900 near New Home in Lowery Township, Stutsman County, North Dakota. The first meeting place of their Adventist congregation was the abandoned sod house on the Mary Wall farm.
